The GRADUATE PROGRAM ON HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENT IN WEST CENTRAL REGION has been worked since March 2006 and brings together researchers from various fields of knowledge whose major objective the promotion of health. This potential is stimulated for interdisciplinary research. It also aims to meet the training demand in the health sector and for this reason has many multidisciplinary facets.

It has two areas concentration: the first, called Health and Society, serves a more humanistic, community and clinical area. Approaches critical aspects of health in the Midwest Region. The second, Technology and Health, aimed at developing techniques and products, taking advantage of the potential of UFMS, and Cerrado and Pantanal biodiversity.

This interdisciplinary proposition holds graduate-level MSc and PhD from various areas of knowledge such as Humanities, Exact Sciences and Health Sciences. The program has graduates in Geography, Physical Education, Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Pharmacy and Biochemistry, Nutrition, Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Physiotherapy.
